Reflecting on her term, Karla shares that serving on the ExCo opened doors to unique experiences, such as moderating a high-level panel at the maiden NUS Innovation Forum held at Shangri-La Fort, BGC in May 2023. Beyond organizing landmark events and celebrating milestones like the NUS 120th anniversary, the true highlight was the warm fellowship among fellow alumni and the NUS Office of Alumni Relations (OAR).
"It was a wonderful opportunity to form friendships with my fellow alumni here in Manila. Being part of the maiden NUS Innovation Forum last May 2023 was very memorable for me as it was my first time to moderate a panel. For any alumni who wishes to be part of the exco, don’t be afraid to raise your hand. You will find it to be a very rewarding experience working with a community that is very supportive and generous."
