NUS Manila recently had the privilege of meeting with Mr. Logaventhan Karuppannan, Deputy Chief of Mission and Counsellor at the Singapore Embassy in Manila, to discuss our ongoing initiatives, future plans, and commitment to community engagement.
During the courtesy call, we introduced ourselves and shared key initiatives such as NUS Cares, our contributions to NUS 120, and our broader strategy to enhance the brand resonance of NUS Manila in the Philippines. Our mission remains clear—to give back to our nation, champion public service, and embody the true spirit of AlumNUS: educated abroad, yet dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the Philippines.
Deputy Chief of Mission Logaventhan Karuppannan expressed his strong support for our vision and commended the energy and scale of NUS Manila. He reaffirmed his commitment to attending our events and activities whenever possible, recognizing the role that our alumni network plays in fostering closer Singapore-Philippines ties and driving societal good.
This meeting reinforces the strong relationship between NUS Manila and the Singapore Embassy, paving the way for future collaborations that align with our mission of leveraging education for public service and positive change.
We look forward to engaging with more stakeholders and continuing our work in empowering the NUS community in the Philippines.
